Strategic Advisory Services
We offer a strategic framework to develop and unlock mineral resources. As experts in the field, we understand the challenges faced by businesses in the exploration and mining sectors, and we are equipped to provide guidance and support to help you make informed decisions.
Expert Geological Consultations
Tap into our years of experience in exploration, mining, and production to help unravel your unique challenges, pain points, and achieve your project goals. We work closely with our clients to develop customised solutions that unlock project value.
Assessing and unlocking a project’s potential involves identifying areas that are most likely to contain valuable minerals and prioritising exploration efforts accordingly. The right exploration strategy can unlock the value of your mineral assets, and MINROM can help identify that potential.
Project ranking matrices
If you are looking to prioritise your company’s exploration projects and make informed investment decisions, MINROM develops customised and strategy-based project ranking systems, including benchmarking against competitor projects or mining operations.
Exploration strategies to unlock value
An exploration strategy guides every aspect of exploration, project expenditure, and most importantly, the end goal and objectives. It is the most important document in any exploration programme and can often make the difference between a project with superfluous expenditure and few results to show for it, and a project with structure expenditure allowing you to set, refine and achieve your exploration goals.
Understand the potential value of your project by taking into account a range of factors, including geological characteristics, resource estimation, market demand, and commodity prices.
Conceptual project evaluations (CPE)
This is an initial assessment of a project’s economic potential and is used to assess if it is worth pursuing future exploration on a project. This includes identifying the potential upside of the project as well as any significant risks or constraints that could affect its development.
Preliminary Economic Assessments (PEA)
A high-level evaluation of a mining or exploration project’s potential economic viability, which includes an initial resource estimate, an economic analysis, and a preliminary mine plan. Used to determine whether further investment in the project is justified, and providing a preliminary understanding of the key factors that may impact the project’s feasibility.
Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS)
A PFS builds upon the information gathered during the PEA stage and includes more detailed geologic and engineering studies, financial modelling, and risk analysis. The goal of the PFS is to determine whether the project is technically and economically feasible and provides sufficient information to support a decision to proceed to the next stage of development.
Feasibility Study (FS)
The FS includes extensive geological, engineering, environmental, and social studies, as well as detailed financial modelling and risk analysis. The goal of the FS is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the project’s potential and assess its technical and economic viability. FS results are used to support investment decisions and secure financing for project development.
Bankable/ Definitive Feasibility Study (BFS/DFS)
A DFS is the final stage of a mining or exploration project’s feasibility evaluation and includes even more detailed studies, as well as an assessment of legal and regulatory compliance requirements. The goal of the DFS is to enable a decision to be made to proceed with the project construction, and therefore a DFS is typically costly and time-intensive.
Technical Geological Audits
Technical geological audits investigate the quality of the geological work performed on a project and identify any areas for improvement. By conducting a technical geological audit, you can be confident that your project is on track to achieve its full potential.
Independent Project Due diligence reviews
Due diligences are crucial in mining and exploration because they provide investors with a comprehensive understanding of a project’s technical aspects. Our independent project due diligence reviews ensure accurate and reliable geological data, helping you make informed decisions and mitigate risks.
