Mining Narrative Through Art
Embark on a journey with our transformative art project, where creativity meets sustainability. Through the lens of local artists, we explore the world of mining, unearthing the story of valuable minerals that power our daily lives, like the mobile phone in your hand. But there’s more to this tale. We also shine a spotlight on the people behind the mining process, the unsung heroes who make eco-friendly energy possible. These art pieces are not just expressions; they’re investments in a sustainable future. Join us at a prestigious auction event next year, where art and awareness converge. Sing up to an exclusive invite for this event dates to follow.
Be The Good | NGO
At Minrom, we believe in the power of positive change, which is why we are thrilled to partner with ‘Be The Good’ NGO in its mission to serve as a catalyst for positive transformation. Children in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa are provided with essential resources, ensuring quality education and a conducive learning environment, when many never thought it possible. Join us in this collective effort to improve the lives of young children in the Karoo.
Box of Rocks | Initiative
Bring geology into your home or classroom and unlock the secrets of the Earth with Minrom’s ‘Box of Rocks’. Discover more about minerals, chemistry, rocks, landscapes, mining and our geological heritage with this educational collection of ‘Minerals and Igneous Rocks’ and ‘Sedimentary and Metamorphic Rocks’. Rocks such as granite, dolerite, basalt and many more, are paired with an explanatory booklet, diagrams, and a geological magnifying glass. Whether you’re a budding geologist or simply curious about the Earth, the ‘Box of Rocks’ is your invitation to explore. Join us on this geological adventure.
Borehole Project
Every drop counts, and so does every year. With our ‘Borehole a Year’ initiative, we bring life-sustaining water to those who need it the most. Each year, we sponsor a borehole in a needy area, turning arid land into a thriving community. Join us in this journey of transformation where a single borehole can change lives, one year at a time. Be part of this ripple effect of hope.
Lodge your application at info@minrom.co.za before the end of February 2025 for it to be taken into consideration during the course of the year.
Geological Software Training
Our recent geological software training course at the University of Namibia (UNAM) is one of several training initiatives aimed at supporting the development of local aspiring graduates. These courses play a crucial role in helping students to develop and be able to function in the exploration and mining industry.
Poetry Project
We are proud to announce that Annika Venter’s poetry collection, Unimaginable Journey, is now available, beautifully illustrated in full colour and printed. Annika and Chene, twin sisters, were diagnosed with a rare condition called Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA). Their unimaginable journey, beautifully expressed through a series of poems written by Annika Venter, highlights the resilience, strength and profound depth of their courage. Become part of Minrom’s initiative in support of Annika and Chene’s medical funds by ordering a printed copy today.
